Message from the Director

Dear Owls Family,

I want to welcome you to the online world of the Department of Student Engagement and encourage you to “look around” our site to learn more about the diverse array of offices, centers, programs, and student organizations that support a dynamic KSU co-curricular student experience. Whether you attend a program offered through one of our many diversity resource centers or participate in a service activity coordinated by our volunteerism office, you will quickly discover that Student Engagement offers a large number of both co-curricular and academic assistance services that support KSU students from orientation to graduation.

Adult and Commuter Student Affairs provides programs, services, and facilities, including the ACSA Center, that support both the curricular and co-curricular experiences for commuter and adult students with the goal to enhance academic success and support retention and personal development. Multicultural Student Affairs (MSA) serves as home to a vibrant array of diversity and inclusion areas (e.g., LGBTQ Student Programs, International Student Programs, and Multicultural Student Programs) that support and advocate for traditionally underrepresented student populations at Kennesaw State University. Located in the Student Center of the Kennesaw Campus, MSA supports three diversity and inclusion student centers: Cultural Awareness Resource Center (CARC), LGBTQ Student Center, and the Global Village. Student Engagement supports volunteer and service learning opportunities for students to engage in community service both on and off KSU’s campus through Volunteerism and Service Learning.

I encourage you to explore the Student Engagement website and discover how we can assist you throughout your collegiate journey. I invite you to stop by the various SE offices and learn more “in person!”  I look forward to seeing you in the office or around campus soon!

Go Owls!

Matthew K. Robison, Ph.D.
