Community Groups

As a part of the expanding scope of services and programs offered by LGBTQ Student Programs, we are proud to offer a variety of intentional community groups exploring specific populations within LGBTQ communities. These groups are led by Student Coordinators who work within the office of LGBTQ Student Programs.p.

Students are encouraged to participate in as many community groups as they would like.

Our community groups are not registered student organizations, but rather a service and space created by LGBTQ Student Programs and facilitated by students.

Current Community Groups:

  • TRANScend Community Group focuses on the experiences of transgeder, gender non-conforming, and non-binary students; creating a space for students to come together and create community surrounding the intersections of their identity.

  • Queer and Trans People of Color (QTPoC) focuses on the experiences of students of color that identify as LGBTQ, creating a space for students to come together and create community surrounding the intersections of their identity.
